In She Will Protect You, Harwood gives birth to an immersive, confrontational and nurturing space filled with large scale paintings, sculptures and installations. She pulls from personal experiences surrounding fertility, rage and protection to provide a platform for discussion that focuses on reproductive rights and bodily autonomy.

Her visual language takes influence from surrealism, feminist artists and horror films. In her paintings, she depicts snarling dogs, disguised sheep, crucified uteruses and vessels of creation. Harwood strives to empower herself and others by painting her body in exposed positions that express protection, anger and self love.
