PLAYGROUND

Design Corridor of Pacific Northwest College of Art
March, 2020

I am creating space dedicated to creativity and enjoyment of childhood, but also expose the hidden dangers behind sheltering and control. When a child is sheltered or hidden from something so harshly, it makes them more and more intrigued by it. I intend to show specific memories by incorporating objects, figures and landscapes conveyed by patterns, fields of color and detail oriented moments. The memories that I have, are warped over time and are filled with events that never even happened. This show is to explore that distorted past and how it is impacting me today.
